No gym...

Well the previous week ended well and seemed promising on the fitness front... But then a cyclone came along and ruined it.

Bugger. I'm craving a gym session or a good jog, but alas I'm stuck indoors, couch bound and waiting for the storm to pass.

I hope my pupil is still going hard with the routines and fitness. I have been dreaming up a new workout plan for myself so that when I return... It's on!

Hurry up and be over stupid cyclone...

Long time no post...

It's been a little since my last post.
Since then another week of training my pupil has passed and another week since that.
However I have not been able to train him because of a work gig that has taken me to "wonderful" Port Hedland.
He has however got a plan to stick with that involves some new workouts as well as some of the original stuff.
As for me, I had a great gym session at the Port Hedland leisure centre.
The facilities are ample with a lot of treadmills and machines. The weights room is also reasonably equipped, I have seen and trained in less.
Tomorrow I shall try and get to the gym again in the morning, since I'm here for a little while I don't want to let my fitness and health slip.

I cannot wait till I'm back home, I'm interested to see the results of my pupils hard work! Oh and of course... See my beautiful wife.

The journey continues...

Wednesday of this week was the second weigh in for my pupil.

Just a little over one week of the training had passed and I was keen to see the results.

2.7 kgs lost and 1.6% body fat drop. Nice!

These are the results I needed to see, and if all goes well we should see them continue.

The sled however had taken its toll on my pupil, aggravating a section of chest muscle. This was a bit disheartening for him as he really enjoyed the sled. But no matter, there were plenty of other things to do and now we are at full pace on the sessions, achieving more each time we tackle it.

The time ticks closer however to the day in which he will punish me for a session... Revenge will be sweet... No doubt!

Saturday morning fitness freaks!!

What a jam packed Saturday morning.

4:15 wake up to make sure I was awake and at the beach by 5.

Traffic in Bunbury is great this time of the morning... No one on the roads, probably because everyone else is smart enough to still be in bed this early.

First stop, beach training session with my pupil. Sled towing, bicep workout, stair climbs and sled pulling, not to mention the warm up jog along the beautiful coastline.

We got a few stares and told we were crazy from a fisherman but once you start, the rest of the world becomes a distant focus. All you can think about is reaching the goal.

After about an hour the session was over and my pupil was feeling it. I had a small amount of time to burn so I downed another black coffee before my next meeting at 7.

By 7 I was at another friends house to go with him on a jog. There is sometimes no better motivation then that of a gentle push you get from not wanting to let someone down. So the fact I was there, and there for one thing only, made it all that much easier to start the jog.

For a chap that hasn't jogged or been physically active for a long time he did fairly well. I think sometimes people are surprised at what they can actually push their body to do.

The jog went for about 40 minutes all up and then it was off to do my own workout session. 8am the gym opens so the timing was impeccable.

Still hadn't had breakfast yet, so I planned to have a decent breaky once I got home to keep me fueled for the day ahead.

One last stop at the shops before I went home to grab some more eggs.

Home. Ahhh what a morning.

I reflect on what we had all achieved in such a small space of time while I choked down on my oats and protein powder and then a helping of scrambled eggs.

Rest for now... Then it all starts again for another week come Monday!
